Pets

We provide a comprehensive and personal service to pets and their owners and are proud to have been accredited by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons in 2005.  We have recently been re-inspected and are pleased to have achieved the next level of accreditation.       
       
Our small animal practice is run by Christine Howells but all our veterinary surgeons enjoy working with pets.  We will always try to ensure continuity of patient care and we do not mind if you ask to see a particular veterinary surgeon; we will try to accomodate this within working hours if we can.      
       
We offer: 

  • Consultations and home visits by appointment.
  • A full 24 hour emergency service, which is always provided by two of our own veterinary surgeons and a nurse. We do not share or contract out our out of hours work, so you will always see someone from our own practice in our own surgery, who has direct access your pet’s clinical records.
  • Warm, fibre glass kennels and cattery, with dogs and cats in separate air-conditioned wards to minimise stress to in-patients.
  • Sterile operating facilities for routine and emergency surgery.
  • Diagnostic imaging, including radiography, ultrasonography, endoscopy and ECG.
  • On-site laboratory facilities for emergency cases, plus rapid access to specialist laboratories.
  • Routine and emergency dental treatment, including radiography for accurate diagnosis.
  • Advice on diet, preventative medicine, e.g. vaccination, worming, flea control and travelling abroad with your pet.
  • Puppy parties,weight and adolescent clinics.
